As data from the 2010 Census is released for states across the country, the figures released  Texas show that Houston remains smaller than Chicago, the third most populous city in the nation. As Chicago, the country’s third-largest city, reported on Tuesday a decrease in population of over 200,000 residents, experts speculated that the booming Houston metropolis may over take Chicago’s rank as No. 3. Libyan City Falls As Turmoil Takes New Turn

Libyan protesters celebrated in the streets of Benghazi on Monday, claiming control of the country’s second largest city after bloody fighting, and anti-government unrest spread to the capital with clashes in Tripoli’s main square for the first time. Moammar Gadhafi’s son vowed that his father and security forces would fight “until the last bullet.”

Boy Gets $1.55M For Getting Hit By Branch

Reports are that a $1.55 million settlement is in the works for a 4-year-old boy who suffered brain damage from a falling parkway tree branch. The accident occurred on the windy day of March 31, 2006, in the 9300 block of South Elizabeth Street, where city crews had previously trimmed tree branches. CHICAGO PARKING ENFORCEMENT Back On MONDAY

Chicago Rejects $20 Taste Of Chicago Fee

The City of Chicago has officially rejected a proposal to privatize the Taste of Chicago, and other lakefront festivals.
